Making a claim

I

Proof of strike

Send us evidence that you were struck by lightning. A photograph, a hospital note, or a witness will do.

II

Proof of survival

You have to have survived the strike. It is a Get Well Soon card, so this is a condition of cover.

III

Tell us

Reply to your policy email with the above. There are no forms to fill in.

IV

We post your card

Sara writes your card by hand and puts it in the post, usually within ten working days.

On our underwriting

Every policy is underwritten in-house, by hand. No third parties, no reinsurers, no committee. Just Sara, at her desk.

The Claims Department

Every card is written by hand.

When a claim is approved, it goes to one desk: Sara’s. She is our intern. She picks the words, draws the little terrier, and presses the wax seal herself.

No two cards are alike. No template and no print run. A real person, wishing you well.
